We all love a good garden, it can do wonders for or home. However, if you live in the city, its easier said than done. Don't be discouraged! With a little time, energy and the necessary equipment, you can have your garden, even with a little living space. The answer, is to make your garden vertical. You can conserve on space, and create a beautiful garden. If you have a blank wall, a bare fence, you can tend edibles, perennials and create gardening ideas to enhance your living space.

Here are some creative ways to plant a Vertical Garden.

Hanging Planter- This planter is made up of five wooden planks, with openings that let let the pots dangle . These planks are spaced evenly between two pieces of rope and are secured with zip ties.

Hanging Buckets- This indoor vertical garden, is constructed with only four basic materials. These include: a cabinet door, hooks, a saw tooth hanger, and some pretty tin buckets.

Lattice Vertical Garden- This  vertical garden has its very own irrigation system: At the center of the structure, there are two PVC pipes with holes drilled in them for even water distribution.

Leaning Bookshelf- Constructed cedar troughs are mounted to wooden sides and then stained in this crafty vertical garden project.

Mason Jar Planter- Here, Mason jars are suspended from wooden squares attached to two hanging metal cables. Pro tip: Make sure to line the bottom of your Mason jars with small rocks or pebbles, since there are no drainage holes, this will allow the roots more room to breathe.

Shoe Organizer- A hanging shoe organizer doubles perfectly as a vertical garden. Its pockets are the ideal size for growing individual plants and herbs.

Stand-Alone Wall- This vertical garden is built by affixing hex wire netting to a cedar frame. This can accommodate up to 35 small terra-cotta pots.

Trays- Similar to nursery flats, these rectangular, plastic trays are divided into planting cells. They are all slanted at a 30-degree angle, with bottom holes that promote drainage and aeration. Each tray comes with a bracket for mounting, though you'll need to add a wood frame to achieve the "wall art" look above

According to the Environmental Protection Agency, chemicals in our homes, can lead to all sorts of respiratory and neurological problems. However, they concluded, that Houseplants gives off oxygen that helps to remove some of these toxins in our homes. Some of these plants are, but are not limited to:

Bamboo Palm
Great at removing formaldehyde from the air, the bamboo palm is also low-maintenance: Just put it where it’ll get a couple of hours of direct sunlight, and water it regularly.

English Ivy
Available in all kinds of colors and shapes, this climbing vine helps clear out formaldehyde. It’s super versatile, too: You can grow it in hanging baskets, low planters, or even as a topiary. It needs regular misting, though, especially during winter.

Lady Palm
This plant clears your air of chemicals, including ammonia, and is highly resistant to insects. It’s fairly easy to care for, but you’ll need to trim the leaf tips if they turn brown from a buildup of salt and minerals.

Peace Lily
A pro at removing a laundry list of toxins, including acetone, benzene, alcohols, and ammonia, the peace lily is the only air-cleaning plant on our list that flowers. To keep it healthy and insect-free, you’ll need to wash the leaves occasionally.

Rubber Plant
Got a black thumb? The hearty rubber plant is for you. It ranks high at eradicating nasty formaldehyde and can tolerate cooler temperatures and low light. You just need to keep it well-watered.
